Soles For
Christ

Soles for Christ,
sponsored by the Center of Jesus the Lord, is the
traditional New Orleans nine church walk on Good Friday.
The stations of the cross are portrayed by a live tableau
presented by the Emile-Vincent Players.
In nine
years, the Soles walk has grown to nearly 600 participants.
Join us when we celebrate the great gift of Our Lord's
Passion and Death. As we walk through the streets of
New Orleans. we "Abound in Hope" and we "Reclaim the city of
New Orleans for the greater glory of God!"
Soles for Christ 2010
·Walk
begins at the Center of Jesus the Lord, 1236 N. Rampart
Street, New Orleans, Louisiana promptly at 8:00am. Please
plan to arrive by 7:30am to allow time to park and assemble
at the Center. You will be directed to parking on arrival.
·Churches
visited are St. Mary, St. Louis Cathedral, St. Patrick, St.
Theresa of Avila, St. John the Baptist, Immaculate
Conception, Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Augustine, and the
Center of Jesus the Lord.
·Walk
concludes at 1:00pm at the Center of Jesus the Lord.
·For
a fee, those who cannot walk 5 miles can reserve a seat on a
bus. Bus seats are available on a first come, first served
basis, and only by reservation in advance.
·Registration
fee includes Soles for Christ t-shirt, guided walk, Stations
of the Cross and song lyric booklet, restroom facilities,
and bottled water.
Registrants after the March 7, 2010 deadline may not receive
a t-shirt.
·T-shirt
pick up dates are Sunday, March 14 and 21, immediately after
10:30am mass, and Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March
25, between 10:00am and 2:00pm. T-shirts will not be
mailed. Time constraints prevent t-shirt distribution on
the day of the walk.
·The
Center of Jesus the Lord reserves the right to cancel the
walk in the event of adverse weather conditions or local or
national disaster. There will be no refund of registration.
